Nando’s Cockburn

This Nando’s project took its inspiration from the notion of an African village.

A wire mesh ceiling hanging at different levels is symbolic of a cluster of huts. Contrasted against this, an African earthy envelope was used to create a strong vibrant splash of colour to the counter as an activation statement and to lead customer to this space. Carefully painted fillets were reintroduced on a larger scale above the condiments area. The main linear banquette was upholstered in sky blue leather reinforcing the African landscape.

Triangular shaped air vents into the walls of the dining area reinforced the African building block tradition.

The concentrated wall of African art reverses out of a dark textural wall to pop and become a focal point for the store.
