Stable Bridport St, Albert Park

Formerly known as Filly’s Stable, the Stable has been a top Albert Park fashion destination since 2008.

In 2022, the much-loved boutique underwent a rebrand and bold but approachable refurb to match. The shiny fit-out was guided by Fitzroy North-based interior-design firm Studio Manifold, which transformed the Bridport Street space to include gold finishes, baby blue walls, and vibrant pieces by local and European designers.

The challenge was to entice customers to the rear of the store where it lacked natural light and create an area where they felt comfortable to spend time in. The flow between retail and lounge was key to enable the retail space to feel neutral and fresh and the lounge area to be warm and relaxed but also elevated by the jewellery cabinet, vintage lights and artwork.

The mixing eras of design throughout the project, whether it was through joinery inspiration or the selection of one-off furniture pieces and lighting,  has created a distinctive identity for the next chapter of the stable brand.
