Koko Black Melbourne Central Shopping Centre

A vibrant new language for an iconic Australian artisan chocolate brand. Working collaboratively with Koko Black and Studio Round, Platform delivered a new vision for the client to contemporise and extend on its unique brand heritage.

The response creates a heightened, immersive world of discovery and fun. Retail spaces are defined by a rich palette of Australian materials, injected with playful, hyper-saturated colours and geometric forms echoing Koko Black’s graphic identity.

Spatial plans encourage connection with staff, and intuitive circulation in a non-hierarchical environment where visitors browse at their leisure. Hero joinery pieces, such as this 360-degree praline counter, were developed to successfully frame and showcase the small-scaled product whilst creating a sense of abundance and facilitating an engaged customer interaction.

Platform’s strategic and impactful design solution is in place across Koko Black’s key Melbourne stores, many of which have been ‘tastefully’ fitted out by Construction Zone.
